As the stunning events unfolded on TV yesterday, I was moved to tears for those who were injured and killed by the blast at the finish line of the Boston Marathon. Yes, we had friends who were there and, in fact, my former marathon running partner, Dick, crossed the finish line just seconds before the first blast.  What moved me the most, though, was the amazing rush to help out by the first responders and the nearby spectators. And in the last 24 hours I have been in awe of the outpouring of support from around the country by people who just want to help. I think this is a uniquely American quality that constantly inspires me in my personal life as well as in my professional career. In times of crisis or not, we all have so much to give to make our communities and country all the better.
